Cantius mckennai
Taxonomy
Pelycodus mckennai was named by Gingerich and Simons (1977). Its type specimen is UM 67113, a maxilla (left maxilla with M1-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SC-133, which is in a Wasatchian wet floodplain wackestone/carbonate in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Cantius mckennai by Gingerich and Haskin (1981).
