Taxonomy
Perognathoides halli was named by Wood (1936). Its type locality is Rodent Hill, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Barstow Formation of California.
It was recombined as Cupidinimus halli by Korth (1979) and Sutton and Korth (1995).
