Basirepomys pliocenicus
Taxonomy
Peromyscus pliocenicus was named by Wilson (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kern River, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Kern River Formation of California. It is the type species of Basirepomys.
It was recombined as Basirepomys pliocenicus by Korth and De Blieux (2010).
