Pliogale furlongi

Taxonomy
Mustela furlongi was named by Merriam (1911). Its type specimen is UCMP 12540, a mandible (a lower jaw with complete carnassial tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada.

It was recombined as Pliogale furlongi by Hall (1930) and Baskin (1998).
