Pliohippus bakeri
Taxonomy
Pliohippus bakeri was named by Azzaroli (1988). Its type specimen is UCMP 30200, a skull (complete skull of an adult male), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coffee Ranch, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in Texas.
It was synonymized subjectively with Dinohippus interpolatus by Kelly (1998).
