Soergelia mayfieldi

Taxonomy
Preptoceras mayfieldi was named by Troxell (1915). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rock Creek, which is in an Irvingtonian terrestrial horizon in the Tule Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Euceratherium mayfieldi by Frick (1937); it was recombined as Soergelia mayfieldi by Harington (1978), Kurten and Anderson (1980) and Schultz (1990).
