Procerberus formicarum
Taxonomy
Procerberus formicarum was named by Sloan and Van Valen (1965) [genotype]. Its type specimen is U.M.V.P. 1460, a mandible (lower jaw fragment with P3, P4, and M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.
