Procynodictis progressus

Taxonomy
Viverravus progressus was named by Stock (1935). Its type locality is Brea Canyon (Bed CS2), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Sespe Formation of California.

It was recombined as Plesiomiacis progressus by Simpson (1945) and Golz and Lillegraven (1977); it was recombined as Procynodictis progressus by Flynn and Galiano (1982) and Kelly (1990).
