Promerycochoerus carrikeri

Taxonomy
Promerycochoerus carrikeri was named by Peterson (1907). Its type specimen is CM 1080, a partial skeleton (Skull with I1-M3, mandible with i1-m3, and most of skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monroe Creek (Type), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of Nebraska.

It was recombined as Merycochoerus carrikeri by Lander (1998).
