Pronothodectes jepi

Taxonomy
Pronothodectes jepi was named by Gingerich (1975). Its type specimen is PU 14782, a mandible (left mandible with alveoli for I1-2 C P2, and the crowns of P3-4 M1-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rock Bench Quarry, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
