Pseudotomus hians
Taxonomy
Pseudotomus hians was named by Cope (1872). Its type specimen is AMNH 5025, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cottonwood Creek (Lower Bridger), which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Plesiarctomys hians by Cope (1883); it was recombined as Paramys hians by Roger (1896), Hay (1902) and Matthew (1910).
