Ptilodus ferronensis

Taxonomy
Ptilodus ferronensis was named by Gazin (1941). Its type specimen is USNM 16176, a mandible (fragment of right ramus of mandible with P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dragon Canyon, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the North Horn Formation of Utah.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ptilodus mediaevus by Rigby (1980).
