Purgatorius titusi
Taxonomy
Purgatorius titusi was named by Buckley (1997). Its type specimen is UM 100203, a tooth (upper right M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Simpson Quarry, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Bear Formation of Montana.
It was synonymized subjectively with Purgatorius unio by Wilson Mantilla et al. (2021).
