Taxonomy
Reynoldsomys timoteoensis was named by Albright (1999) [genotype]. Its type locality is Jackrabbit Trail (Site 187), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the San Timoteo Formation of California. It is the type species of Reynoldsomys.
