Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
Z. J. Tseng et al. 2010The smallest species of Barbourofelis; incisor se- ries simple with gradual increase in size from i1 to i3; p3 unre- duced, with both anterior and posterior accessory cusps as in Sansanosmilus, but unlike other species of Barbourofelis that have greatly reduced or lost these cusps; the anterior accessory cusp of p4 is lower-crowned than other Barbourofelis species; m1 protoconid only slightly longer than m1 paraconid, not signifi- cantly longer as in some B. loveorum; anterior ridge of P4 pre- parastyle bifurcated.
