Taxonomy
Scapanus hagermanensis was named by Hutchison (1987). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hagerman (UM-Ida 3-65), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Glenns Ferry Formation of Idaho.
