Taxonomy
Plectatrypa (Gutnia) capidula was named by Copper (1996). Its type specimen is Br46461 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tjälderholm, Tjälder coastal outcrop, which is in a Wenlock reef, buildup or bioherm shale/reef rocks in the Slite Beds Formation of Sweden. It is the type species of Plectatrypa (Gutnia).
