Spalacotheroides bridwelli
Taxonomy
Spalacotheroides bridwelli was named by Patterson (1955) [genotype]. Its type specimen is CHMN-PM 933, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Greenwood Canyon, which is in an Aptian/Albian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Antlers Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Spalacotheroides.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Cifelli et al. (2000).
