Spermophilus primitivus

Taxonomy
Citellus primitivus was named by Bryant (1945). Its type specimen is CM 746, a mandible (A right mandibular ramus with a broken incisor, worn cheek teeth, and the basal portion of the vertical ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Otospermophilus primitivus by Barnosky (1986); it was recombined as Spermophilus primitivus by Bryant (1945), Hemming (1956), Shotwell (1968), Wilson and Reeder (1993) and Korth (1994).
