Stygimys kuszmauli

Taxonomy
Stygimys kuszmauli was named by Sloan and Van Valen (1965). Its type specimen is U.M.V.P. 1478, a mandible (left lower jaw fragment with I and alveoli for P4 and M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Stygimys.
