Tapocyon robustus

Taxonomy
Prodaphaenus robustus was named by Peterson (1919). Its type specimen is C. M. No. 3023, a partial skeleton (fragments of lower jaws with P4 M1 and M2 in place; fragments of vertebrae, greater portion of right humerus, and head of femur), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Myton Pocket, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Miacis robustus by Hay (1930) and Clark (1939); it was recombined as Uintacyon robustus by Kay (1957); it was recombined as Tapocyon robustus by Stock (1934), Dawson (1980), Wesley and Flynn (2003) and Friscia and Rasmussen (2010).
