Taxonomy
Teilhardella was named by Jepsen (1930). It is not extant. Its type is Teilhardella chardini.

It was synonymized subjectively with Apatemys by Van Valen (1967), West (1973), Bown (1979), Gingerich (1982) and Bown and Schankler (1982).

It was assigned to Apatemyidae by Simpson (1940) and Gunnell (1989).
