Telacodon laevis
Taxonomy
Telacodon laevis was named by Marsh (1892) [genotype]. Its type specimen is YPM 11780, a mandible (anterior part of a mandible with P2-4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammal Quarry No. 5, which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Telacodon.
