Notharctus robustior

Mammalia - Primates - Notharctidae

Taxonomy
Notharctus robustior was named by Leidy (1872) [status questioned by Godinot 1998, but it is not clear what senior synonym he prefers]. Its type specimen is USNM 3750, a mandible (mandibular fragment with M2), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Hipposyus robustior by Leidy (1873); it was synonymized subjectively with Notharctus crassus by Granger and Gregory (1917).
