Pseudotetonius ambiguus

Taxonomy
Tetonius ambiguus was named by Matthew (1915) [type is from "5 miles south of Otto, Bighorn Basin, Wyoming"]. Its type specimen is AMNH 15072, a mandible (left dentary with p3-m2, roots of i1 and c, and alveolus for i2), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tetonius homunculus by Gingerich (1980) and Gingerich (1981); it was recombined as Pseudotetonius ambiguus by Bown (1974), Bown and Rose (1984) and Bown and Rose (1987).
