Taxonomy
Thylacodon pusillus was named by Matthew and Granger (1921) [genotype]. Its type specimen is AMNH 16414, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Thylacodon.
It was recombined as Peradectes pusillus by Matthew and Granger (1939), Clemens (1979), Archibald (1982) and Eberle and Lillegraven (1998).
