Copelemur tutus

Taxonomy
Tomitherium tutum was named by Cope (1877). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Almagre Arroyo (Cope), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the San Jose Formation of New Mexico.

It was recombined as Pelycodus tutus by Cope (1881), Osborn (1902), Hay (1902), Matthew (1915) and Gazin (1962); it was recombined as Copelemur tutus by Gingerich and Simons (1977) and Beard (1988).
