Turgidodon russelli
Taxonomy
Alphadon russelli was named by Fox (1979). Its type specimen is UA 14805, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment with P3M1-4), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Irvine microvertebrate site, which is in a Judithian terrestrial horizon in the Dinosaur Park Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Turgidodon russelli by Cifelli (1990), Johanson (1996), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Hunter et al. (2010).
