Uriscus californicus
Taxonomy
Uriscus californicus was named by Wood (1962) [genotype]. Its type locality is San Diego Mission (CIT 249-S), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Friars Formation of California. It is the type species of Uriscus.
It was recombined as Reithroparamys californicus by Black (1971) and Black and Sutton (1984).
