Taxonomy
Urocyon galushai was named by Tedford et al. (2009). Its type specimen is F:AM 63104, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 111 Ranch (Lower), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Arizona.
