Taxonomy
Yoderimys yarmeri was named by Wilson and Runkel (1991). Its type specimen is TMM 42153-2, a mandible (Left mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coffee Cup, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial horizon in the Devil's Graveyard Formation of Texas.
