Wannanosaurus yansiensis
Taxonomy
Wannanosaurus yansiensis was named by Hou (1977). Its type specimen is IVPP V4447, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yansi, Jingxian (IVPP), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Xiaoyan Formation of China.

R. J. Butler and Q. Zhao 2009 | Pachycephalosaur distinguished by the extreme flexure of the humerus in anterior/posterior and lateral views. In anterior/posterior view, the humerus is flexed strongly laterally along its length, and the proximal and distal ends are set at approximately 30 degrees to one another (Sereno, 2000). In lateral view the proximal end of the humeral shaft is flexed strongly posteriorly, at an angle of around 50 degrees to the distal shaft.
