Protosiren fraasi
Taxonomy
Protosiren fraasi was named by Abel (1904). Its type specimen is CGM C.10171, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gebel Mokattam, lower, which is in a Lutetian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Mokattam Formation of Egypt.
It was recombined as Eosiren fraasi by Schlosser (1923); it was recombined as Prototherium fraasi by Fuchs (1973).
