Basiloterus hussaini
Taxonomy
Basiloterus hussaini was named by Gingerich et al. (1997). Its type specimen is GSP-UM 3190, a set of vertebrae (two lumbar vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bari Nadi 3, which is in a Bartonian coastal shale in the Drazinda Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Basilosaurus hussaini by Uhen (2002); it was considered a nomen dubium by Uhen (2013).
