Lainodon
Taxonomy
Lainodon was named by Gheerbrant and Astibia (1994) [shows similar derived characters with Labes]. It is not extant. Its type is Lainodon orueetxebarriai.
It was assigned to Mixotheridia by Gheerbrant and Astibia (1994); to Lainodontinae by Gheerbrant and Astibia (2012); and to Zhelestidae by Averianov et al. (2003), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Wible et al. (2007), Wible et al. (2009) and Archibald and Averianov (2012).
It was assigned to Mixotheridia by Gheerbrant and Astibia (1994); to Lainodontinae by Gheerbrant and Astibia (2012); and to Zhelestidae by Averianov et al. (2003), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Wible et al. (2007), Wible et al. (2009) and Archibald and Averianov (2012).
