It was assigned to Mixotheridia by Gheerbrant and Astibia (1994); to Lainodontinae by Gheerbrant and Astibia (2012); and to Zhelestidae by Averianov et al. (2003), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Wible et al. (2007), Wible et al. (2009) and Archibald and Averianov (2012).

Astibia 2012||Representative of “Zhelestidae” close to Labes (Lainodoninae), but differing from it by its slightly stronger bunodonty, a mesially canted trigonid, a more developed postmetacristid, shorter talonid, larger protoconid (e.g., with respect to trigonid lingual cusps), and the crown base lower below the hypoconid.|
