Taxonomy
Lainodon orueetxebarriai was named by Gheerbrant and Astibia (1994). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laño L1A, which is in a Campanian coastal sandstone/siltstone in the Vitoria Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Lainodon.
