It was assigned to Theropoda by Brett-Surman and Paul (1985); to Euenantiornithes by Cau and Arduini (2008); and to Enantiornithes by Chiappe and Calvo (1994), Sanz et al. (1995), Varricchio and Chiappe (1995) and Atterholt et al. (2018).
