Rodhocetus kasranii
Taxonomy
Rodhocetus kasrani was named by Gingerich et al. (1994). Its type specimen is GSP-UM 3012, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bozmar Nadi, which is in a Lutetian coastal shale in the Domanda Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Rodhocetus.
It was corrected as Rodhocetus kasranii by Gingerich et al. (2001) and Gingerich and Cappetta (2014).
