Chainodus intercedens

Taxonomy
Cordylodon intercedens was named by Müller (1967). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSP Slg. M. 1937 II 10336, a mandible (Mandible with p4-m2 sin. and p4 dext.). It is the type species of Chainodus.

It was recombined as Chainodus intercedens by Rzebik-Kowalska (1996).

A. Müller 1967Eine Art der Gattung Cordylodon mit der Zamformel 2132/2122 und folgenden Unterschieden gegenüber C. haslachensis:
Symphyse fest verwachsen, Unterkiefer kräftig, p3 fast völlig reduziert, am p4 auch hintere Labialecke verbreitert, am Hinterrand kleiner Nebenhöcker. Am m1 Trigonid gegenüber dem Talonid verkleinert. P4 mit kleinem Nebenhöcker und lang aigezogener Vorderspitze. M1 mit spitz auslaufendem Metastyl, Paraconus und Parastyl gleich groß.
