E. Schrank and M. S. Mahmoud 2002Monoporate pollen grains. Pore formed by an irregular ring-shaped, narrow zone of collapse of the exine. Pore surrounded by an annulus and covered by an operculum. Outline of pollen grains and of pores subcircular to elliptical. Exine tectate with thin sexine closely appresed to the nexine. Sculpture uniformly rugulate to microverrucate over the whole grain surface including the operculum.
