Panicle; oppositely branching 1-2 times at a narrow angle, with longitudinal striations on the surface of rachis and branches, bearing two linear or ligulate bracts below each pair of branches. Spikelets ovate or elongated outline, solitary and terminal, composed of numerous glumes; glumes helically born upon the axis of spikelet, ovate, with awn-like apex.
