Taxonomy
Eragrosites changii was named by Cao et al. (1998). Its type locality is Jianshangou bed, near Chaomidian, which is in a Barremian/Aptian terrestrial mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Eragrosites.

Cao et al. 1998Larger panicle, about 14 cm in incompletely preserved length and at least 10 cm in width; rachis about 3 mm wide at the base, narrowing gradually to the upper portion of inflorescence, oppositely branching 3 times, apart from each other, with longitudinal striations and glandula-like appendages on the surface of rachis and branches; bracts absent. Spikelets arranged in panicle, ovate to elongatedly elliptical in outline, about 5 mm long, composed of the biserial "florets", likely bearing two glumes at its base; lemma with 3 (?) veinlets, without awn.
