Brontornis burmeisteri
Taxonomy
Brontornis burmeisteri was named by Moreno and Mercerat (1891). Its type specimen is Museo de La Plata, a set of limb elements (femur, tibia, tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lago Argentino, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
