P. R. Crane and S. R. Manchester 1991Fruits woody, sessile on a stout infructescence axis. Each fruit consisting of 10-20 fruitlets arranged in a whorl around a central column. Central column expanded at the base, tapering rapidly distally. Fruits schizocarpic, dispersed fruitlets D-shaped in outline, dehiscent, containing a single small, ovate seed.
