Taxonomy
Achelousaurus horneri was named by Sampson (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MOR 485. Its type locality is Landslide Butte Field Area (MOR TM-060), which is in a Campanian terrestrial siltstone in the Two Medicine Formation of Montana.
