Omphalosaurus nevadanus
Taxonomy
Omphalosaurus nevadanus was named by Merriam (1906). Its type specimen is UCMP and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is American Canyon (UCMP/Stanford), which is in a Triassic marine limestone in the Prida Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Omphalosaurus.
