Taxonomy
Prodiplocynodon langi was named by Mook (1941). Its type specimen is Amer. Mus. No. 108, a skull (mostly complete skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cheyenne River (AMNH), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
