Dakotasaurus browni
Taxonomy
Dakotasaurus browni was named by Branson and Mehl (1932). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UM 594 VP, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is tracksite, 3 miles south of Lander, which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial sandstone in the Naturita Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Dakotasaurus.
