R. A. Coria and L. Salgado 1995G. carolinii has the following characters: dorsoventrally wide main body of the maxilla, with subparallel dorsal and ventral edges; eave-like supraorbital lacrimal-postorbital contact (preliminarily considered convergent with Abelisaurus); two pneumatic foramina in the internal side of the quadrate; symphysial end of the dentary dorsoventrally expanded, bearing a ventral process; proximal end of the scapula forwardly projected above the coracoid; tubercle-like insertion for triceps in the ventral border of the scapula; lobule-shaped obturator process of the ischium; dorsally projected femoral head; and posterior intercondylar groove in the proximal end of the tibia.
M. T. Carrano et al. 2012Allosauroid with two pneumatic foramina on medial surface of quadrate (Coria & Salgado 1995).
