Taxonomy
Ulmus pseudofulva was named by Lesquereux (1878). Its type specimen is U.C. Mus. Pal. Paleobot. Ser. plesiotypes nos. 2168, 2169, 2170, 2171, 2172, 217 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Chaetoptelea pseudofulva by MacGinitie (1941).
